![]() Saying "I'm running that one FTB modpack" doesn't help me. If you're running a custom modpack with more than three or four mods, you must identify which mods are causing the issue.Saying "I'm running Resonant Rise 2.9.2.3 with no custom options" is extremely helpful. Linking to a long list of all the mods in your pack isn't helpful. If you don't identify the cause, it's nearly impossible for us to fix. Is it actually something broken, or does it have more to do with your playstyle or another mod that behaves weirdly?.įigure out what mods cause it (or at least narrow it down to less than 10 mods), and report that.If you have an idea for making the mod "better", I'm all ears.but I may disagree, and reserve the right to say "no" to any feature request.I can't promise 100% compatibility with all mods. If the bug has to do with another mod, removing all unnecessary mods ensures that there's no conflict. That said, I'll do my best to make sure that game-breaking stuff gets patched somehow. Normally, I don't recommend using dev builds, but when you run into a bug, please check to see if it's still a problem in the latest released dev build. You could also try using the latest build from Jenkins, but those tend to be unstable at times. Making sure that any dependencies are up to date is a good idea too. Once you know it's a bug, there's a couple of things that I absolutely must have. Reports without these will normally not get fixed, because there simply isn't enough information. I say this more than once because it's one of the more important bits. If the bug involves multiple steps, be specific with all of them."When I right click on block Y, my client crashes."."Using item X from someOtherMod (version 1.2.3.4) to pick up block Y makes it lose all items from the inventory"."If I place block X next to block Y when sneaking, all nearby sand turns into lava".What version of Minechem are you running?.Was there a crash? If so, I need the (vanilla) crashlog and your Forge log. This prints extra information to the logs, and helps us figure out what is going on. Use Pastebin or some other text paste site for your crashlog/Forge log or any config files (don't use screenshots for text files please!).Pasting the full text into a ticket can make it hard to read. However, Google Chat is quite a bit different than Hangouts. It was designed to be an instant messaging app that anyone with a Google account could use.įrom the beginning, Hangouts was a product for consumers. It also integrated SMS texting in the Android app.Ĭhat, on the other hand, started as an enterprise service for Google Workspace (previously known as G Suite). It has more in common with services like Slack than it does with the old Google Hangouts. Once Hangouts is officially retired, Google Chat will be available for everyone. RELATED: What Is Google Workspace, and Does It Fully Replace G Suite? What Is Google Chat for?Īs mentioned above, Google Chat is closer to a Slack competitor than a Hangouts replacement. ![]() What does that actually mean? In short, it’s a messaging app built for teams. Chat is available on desktop, iPhone, iPad, and Android. Rather than having all conversations happen in a single stream like a typical group chat, Google Chat can be organized into “Rooms.” Organizations and groups can create Google Chat servers for their employees and members. Rooms make it possible to have more focused chat spaces. ![]() You can set up a Room for a discussion about a specific event or project. ![]() All conversations about the topic can happen in that Room, and it can include only the people who need to be involved. The other benefit of Rooms is the ability to control notifications. Maybe you’re included in several Rooms, but only one or two take priority. For those Rooms, you can enable notifications for all messages. In the less important Rooms, maybe you only want to be notified when someone mentions you. Google Chat is also home to private one-on-one conversations. You can easily start up a chat with anyone who’s on your server. ![]()
